Our Story

Your one stop wool & embroidery shop for over 38 years with a treasure trove of yarns, patterns and embroidery supplies. In March 2023 we moved to our new location at 29A Stafford St, Huntingdale, after 36 years in Atherton Rd, Oakleigh. We've brought colour to the industrial area of huntingdale with our bright and spacious new shop and we love the bigger space - more room for more goodies! There's plenty of free parking on site and we're only a short walk from Huntingdale Station, Huntingdale Rd and North Rd and approx 7 minutes drive from Chadstone Shopping Centre.

Craftee Cottage is a true family small business, run by Mother & Daughter team Sylvia and Tracey, backed up by our wonderful staff members Marlies and Anne. We believe in offering a full service to our customers, having a physical shop where you can browse and enjoy, feel and see the yarns and get helpful support and advice. We have classes, as well as offering a beautiful array of yarns, patterns and embroidery online 24/7. We have years of experience between us and can help you with any of your queries in-store or phone if you are looking online. Looking for a particular yarn? We often have an alternative that will work for you or can recommend something. We look forward to welcoming you to our store. We offer friendly service and helpful advice. Tuesday to Saturday.

Our Range

We are known for our large range of brands in Knitting yarns from Australia and around the world. Some of our brands we stock are - NORO, Lang Yarns, Wool Addicts, Malabrigo, Fiddlesticks, Sirdar, King Cole, Alpaca Yarns NZ, Naturally Yarns NZ, Bellissimo, Jody Long, Juniper Moon, Auracania and more..

We also stock Aussie favourites Bambini and Fiori and Patons, Cleckheaton, Panda, Shepherd and Heirloom. We have an extensive range of needles & accessories from Knit Pro, Addi and Clover and also most speciality threads and materials for embroidery and cross stitch and we import the beautiful Eubelhor fabrics from Austria, which include quality evenweave linens and aidas. We also stock the Greek butterfly crochet cotton and many other specialist brands in yarns and threads.

• Delivery with Australia Post, Couriers and Click and Collect
• A low rate next day local delivery service (within approx 6 km)
• Free shipping Australia wide for online orders over $150.00

Order Processing

Once we receive your order, you'll be sent an automated confirmation email (check your spam).
We aim to have orders sent the next day (not including Fri - Mon).
If there's a problem or delay of more than 3 days with your order, we will notify you via text or email.

Classes are held in-store for Knitting, Crochet and Embroidery.
